Lviv Medical Association Receives Generators for Uninterrupted Operation

Thanks to the receipt of generators, the Lviv City Council has ensured stable electricity supply for the hospitals of the First Medical Association. The charitable organisation Ukraine-Hilfe Berlin e.V. handed over 12 generators of various capacities during January-March 2026.

The centres will receive alternative power sources, which support uninterrupted operations and ensure the functioning of intensive care units and operating theatres, where the presence of electricity is critically important.

The generator features the charity’s logo with figures in the colours of the Ukrainian and German flags. For hospitals and medical diagnostic centres, this is an extremely important aid, especially in wartime conditions when the country’s energy system is under threat of attacks. According to Oleg Ilechko, the deputy director for economic activities of the First Medical Association, such support is vitally necessary.

With this equipment, hospitals will be able to provide medical assistance without interruptions even during blackouts. In the event of power outages, priority is given to ensuring the operation of equipment for interventions and supporting patients’ functions.
