Healthcare facilities in Lviv region have invested over UAH 7.6 billion in equipment over nine years

In 2017–2025, municipal healthcare facilities in Lviv region allocated over UAH 7.6 billion from various funding sources for the purchase of medical equipment. The finance department of the Lviv Regional Military Administration notes that these investments have been a key factor in improving the quality and accessibility of medical care in the region.

The largest amounts for upgrading infrastructure and equipment were used by regionally subordinated medical facilities – over UAH 2 billion. Among the facilities owned by territorial communities, medical institutions of the Lviv community are in the lead, having spent over UAH 3.8 billion on equipment over nine years.

Significant volumes of funding were also provided to medical facilities in other communities of the region. In particular, the Drohobych community allocated UAH 221.7 million for equipment procurement, the Yavoriv community – UAH 132.3 million, the Novoyavorivsk community – UAH 100.6 million, the Stryi community – UAH 75.7 million, the Busk community – UAH 57 million, the Mostyska community – UAH 55.3 million, the Zhovkva community – UAH 51.1 million, and the Peremyshliany community – UAH 44.4 million.

According to the department, equipment was primarily purchased for facilities providing care to the most vulnerable population groups – children, oncology patients, veterans and people with cardiovascular diseases. Particular attention was paid to equipping emergency medical care and rapid response units.
