Lviv region to see extreme heat of up to 40°C from 28–30 June

From 28–30 June, extreme heat is forecast in Lviv region, with air temperatures rising to 35–38°C, and in some places up to 40°C. According to the Lviv Regional Centre, a Level III danger warning (red) has been issued.

Due to the high temperatures, rescuers are urging people to follow fire safety rules to avoid emergencies.

Citizens are advised not to light campfires in unauthorised places and not to leave any fire unattended. Before leaving, the fire must be thoroughly extinguished with water or covered with soil.

People are also asked not to throw cigarette ends or matches on the ground, especially in dry weather, and not to burn dry vegetation.
