From 19 to 25 April in the Lviv region, European Immunisation Week is taking place. Medical professionals emphasise that vaccination is an effective method of protection against dangerous infections. It is important for all generations, and they highlight the need for adult revaccination every 10 years.
During a briefing held at the Lviv Regional State Administration, the importance of vaccinations not only for children was stressed. Particular attention is needed for older people regarding protection against possible complications.
Also, in Ukraine, the Vaccination Schedule has recently been updated: vaccination against HPV for girls aged 12–13 has been introduced, and approaches to some children’s vaccinations have been changed. Experts urge people to check their vaccination status and consult their family doctor. Vaccination is about the health of everyone and the safety of all.
