Over the past 24 hours in Lviv region, rescuers have extinguished 12 wildfires in ecosystems, covering a total area of more than 3,600 square metres.
Each such blaze means hours of exhausting work in smoke and intense heat. The fire destroys vegetation, can threaten residential buildings and consumes everything in its path.
Rescuers stress that it is forbidden to burn dry grass, discard cigarette ends or leave open fires unattended. A single moment of carelessness can cause a major fire.
Residents of Lviv region are urged to protect nature, respect the work of rescuers and take care of their own safety.
