On 5–6 August, extreme heat of 40–42°C is expected across Lviv region. This was reported by the Lviv Regional Hydrometeorological Centre.
A Level III danger warning (red) has been issued for the region. Residents are urged to pay close attention to their health and behaviour during periods of high temperatures.
During the heatwave it is strictly forbidden to burn dry vegetation, light campfires in natural ecosystems or discard unextinguished cigarette butts, as a single careless act can lead to the destruction of hectares of land.
