High fire danger level declared in Lviv region

In the Lviv region, a high, 4th-class fire danger is forecast across the region from 1–5 October. This was reported by the Lviv Regional Centre for Hydrometeorology of Ukraine.

Due to the increased risk of fires in ecosystems, residents are being asked to exercise particular caution with open flames.

People should refrain from burning dry vegetation and rubbish, from lighting campfires in prohibited areas, and from leaving any fire unattended.

It is stressed that careless handling of fire can lead to a large-scale blaze, the destruction of natural areas and pose a threat to people.
