Over nine years, more than UAH 960 million allocated for major repairs of medical facilities in Lviv region

Over the period 2017–2025, healthcare institutions in Lviv region that are in regional municipal ownership have allocated more than UAH 960 million from various funding sources for capital repairs. This was reported by the Department of Finance of the Lviv Regional Military Administration.

These funds have been used in medical facilities to modernise and repair premises and internal utilities, insulate façades, replace roofs, and to provide barrier-free access for people with disabilities. The aim of the works is to improve conditions for patients and increase access to medical care.

The Department of Finance notes that among the territorial communities of the region, the largest expenditures on capital repairs of medical facilities have been made by Lviv, Drohobych, Stryi, Zolochiv, Novoyavorivsk, Busk, Kamianka-Buzka, Morshyn and Khodoriv communities. In particular, in Lviv these expenditures exceeded UAH 2.9 billion, in the Drohobych community they amounted to UAH 106.2 million, in the Stryi community – UAH 70.9 million, in the Zolochiv community – UAH 46.3 million, in the Novoyavorivsk community – UAH 35.7 million, in the Busk community – UAH 32.6 million, in the Kamianka-Buzka community – UAH 32.4 million, in the Morshyn community – UAH 27.3 million, and in the Khodoriv community – UAH 26.2 million.

Funding for capital repairs has been provided from the resources of the National Health Service of Ukraine, local budgets, including the regional budget, international partners and other sources. The Department of Finance of the Lviv Regional Military Administration expects that the positive trend in attracting investment in the development of the region’s healthcare sector will continue.
