The Ministry of Health of Ukraine discussed the creation of university hospitals of higher education institutions.
The meeting on the creation and operation of university hospitals in Ukraine was held with the participation of representatives of the Ministry, the National Health Service of Ukraine, the National Medical University named after O.O. Bogomolets, Lviv National Medical University named after Danylo Halytskyi.
Orest Chemerys, director of the health care department of Lviv OVA, also took part in the meeting.
It was about the legislative prerequisites, mechanism, structure and directions of activity of these hospitals. They also discussed making relevant changes to the legislation, obtaining a license and features of registration.
Regarding the action plan and integration into the medical guarantee program for 2023, university hospitals have to go through several stages. Namely, the approval of the regulations on the hospital, the analysis by the National Health Service of the possibility of contracting for packages of medical services and the start of operation.
The University Hospital is being created with the aim of providing an educational process for persons studying in institutions of higher education, improving the qualifications of medical workers, conducting scientific research and providing specialized medical care.
We would like to remind that in Lviv, the university hospital can become the Lviv Clinical Hospital on railway transport, on the basis of which a state non-commercial enterprise will be formed and there will be an opportunity to sign an agreement with the NHSHU.
