All the soldiers sustained serious injuries, including leg and pelvic wounds and other related injuries.
Today, thanks to the efforts of the Lviv Regional Centre for Emergency Medical Care and Disaster Medicine, 14 Ukrainian soldiers were evacuated to Poland for further treatment in European clinics. All of the soldiers sustained serious injuries, including leg and pelvic wounds and other related injuries, and require specialised care, which will be provided in Germany and the Netherlands.
The medical evacuation was carried out by two special buses and three ambulances. The soldiers will then travel by plane to clinics where European doctors will help them in the difficult process of recovery.
It should be noted that medical evacuations abroad are carried out with the financial support of the European Commission in cooperation with the WHO Regional Office for Europe and the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.
