Hepatitis A Cases Surge in Sheptytskyi District

The number of Hepatitis A cases continues to rise in the Sheptytskyi District, with 24 infections reported as of January 17, including 12 children.

On January 16, a 25-year-old resident of Dmytriv, part of the Radekhiv community, was hospitalized in the Central City Hospital of Sheptytskyi District. Additionally, a child is also under hospital care.

An epidemiological investigation is underway in Dmytriv to identify contacts of the infected individual. Anti-epidemic measures have been organized in collaboration with specialists from the Radekhiv department of the Chervonohrad RV of the State Institution “Lviv Regional Center for Disease Control and Prevention of the Ministry of Health.”

The outbreak has been recorded in several localities: Volsvyn, Shainohy, Novyi Vytkiv, Dmytriv, Lopatin (Sheptytskyi District), and the city of Brody (Zolochiv District).
