
In the Drohobych community, a significant increase in cases of acute respiratory viral infections and flu has been recorded.
Worsening weather conditions have led to an increase in the number of patients. “Last week, the number of those ill with ARVI and flu reached 579 individuals, with figures increasing by 40%”, said Volodymyr Chuba, head of the healthcare department.
The most affected age groups are from 30 to 64 years, where **305** cases have been reported. Among school-aged children aged 5 to 14, **108** cases were identified. This has led to the extension of the holiday period in schools.
Overall, **26** individuals were hospitalized with these diseases over the week. Additionally, medical institutions received patients with other diagnoses: heart attack (12 patients), stroke (15 patients), and **47** surgeries were performed.
