New medical equipment has been installed and put into operation at the municipal non-profit enterprise of the Lviv Regional Council “Lviv Regional Phthisiopulmonology Clinical Treatment and Diagnostic Centre” (Pulmonary Health Centre in Lviv). This was reported by the Pulmonary Health Centre.
The equipment was provided under the project “Supporting Efforts to Combat Tuberculosis in Ukraine”, implemented by the organisation PATH with financial support from the US government.
The facility has received several types of modern equipment, in particular:
- laparoscopic tower — a set of equipment for performing minimally invasive examinations and surgical interventions through small incisions;
- defibrillators — devices for providing emergency care in dangerous heart rhythm disorders, enabling the restoration of normal heart function;
- electrocardiograph MIDAS 6/12 — a device for recording the electrical activity of the heart, which helps to detect rhythm disturbances and other changes in good time.
The medical facility emphasises that the new equipment will strengthen doctors’ capacity to diagnose and treat patients with respiratory diseases and comorbid conditions.
“New equipment means new opportunities for our specialists, higher-quality diagnostics, safer treatment and timely care for patients,” the Centre noted.
