In the village of Hriada, an outreach rabies vaccination for pets was carried out, during which around 90 cats and dogs were vaccinated free of charge. This is one of the largest outreach activities within the campaign in the Lviv community.
The next community will be Zashkiv: a mobile team of vets will arrive there on 9 September. Free vaccinations will be given near the community centre building from 16:00 to 18:00.
Previously, a similar immunisation was organised in Sytykhiv, where 28 cats and dogs were vaccinated. The free rabies vaccination campaign for pets was launched in the Lviv community due to a shortage of vaccines, so priority is being given to localities where cases of this disease have recently been recorded.
The vaccinations are being administered by veterinary specialists from the Lviv City State Veterinary Medicine Hospital.
