In June, a mobile vaccination team will be operating in the Lopatyn community

In June, a mobile vaccination team will be operating in the territory of the Lopatyn community, enabling children and adults to receive vaccinations closer to their place of residence.

The main purpose of these outreach visits is to increase vaccine coverage among children against measles, mumps and rubella, particularly among children aged 4 and 5. At the same time, the mobile teams will also have other vaccines available, so children and adults who wish to can be vaccinated in line with the National Immunisation Schedule.

During the visits, children will be able to receive the MMR vaccine and other vaccinations against infections according to the immunisation schedule. Adults will be offered the following services: vaccination against diphtheria and tetanus, a consultation with a family doctor, blood pressure measurement, rapid tests for hepatitis B virus, as well as blood glucose measurement.

In addition to vaccinations, the medical staff of the mobile team will provide other medical services – consultations, examinations and diagnostic testing. Detailed information about the visits can be obtained from the Municipal Non-Profit Enterprise “Lopatyn Central District Hospital”, the settlement council, or from specialists of the Sheptytskyi District Department of the State Institution “Lviv Regional Centre for Disease Control and Prevention”.

Schedule of mobile team visits

  • 16 June, village of Berezivka, from 11:00 to 14:00, location of the team – preschool institution in Berezivka, 20 Tsentralna Street;
  • 23 June, village of Nyvytsi, from 11:00 to 14:00, location of the team – Nyvytsi Gymnasium, village of Nyvytsi, 3 Shevchenka Street.

The outreach vaccination sessions are being carried out at the initiative of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine and the Public Health Centre of Ukraine, with the support of the WHO Country Office in Ukraine, logistical support from the NGO “Coalition for Vaccination” and with the assistance of GAVI.
