Renovated operating unit opened at Lviv veterans hospital

At the Lviv Regional Veterans of War and Repressed Persons Hospital named after Yu. Lypa, a refurbished operating unit has begun work following a major overhaul. The medical facility treats serving military personnel, veterans and other patients.

As part of the project, 13 operating theatres, preoperative and postoperative wards, as well as rooms for medical staff, were renovated and modernised. The unit has been equipped with a modern ventilation system, a medical gas supply system and state-of-the-art medical equipment to ensure good working conditions for doctors and safe, comfortable treatment for patients.

The total cost of implementing the project according to the design and estimate documentation is more than 199 million hryvnias. The bulk of this funding came from the regional budget.

It is reported that between 2021 and 2025 more than 927 million hryvnias in total has been allocated from the regional budget for the development and needs of this medical facility. According to the regional authorities, these are investments in patients’ health, particularly that of service personnel and veterans.

The regional leadership thanked the hospital team led by Volodymyr Krasokha for their daily work and professionalism, and stressed future plans to continue providing the hospital with modern equipment and expanding its capabilities.
