Since 2023, the Communal Non-Commercial Enterprise of the Lviv Regional Council “Lviv Regional Clinical Perinatal Centre” has had a department of assisted reproductive technologies. During this time, specialists at the facility have helped more than 150 couples who sought infertility treatment to become parents.
The centre implements the state programme “Infertility treatment using assisted reproductive technologies (in vitro fertilisation)”, under which patients can receive therapy free of charge. This covers methods of in vitro fertilisation (IVF) and related procedures.
Doctors at the perinatal centre have already carried out 460 fertilisation procedures, performed 311 embryo transfers and provided around 2,000 consultations to patients. According to the institution, the treatment success rate is 61%.
The services of the Lviv department of reproductive technologies are used not only by residents of Ukraine. Patients from Serbia, the United Kingdom, Poland, Italy and Canada also choose the centre. The institution’s statement emphasises that thanks to the programme, many couples have had the opportunity to make their dream of parenthood come true.
The announcement mentions that appointments for consultations with a reproductive medicine specialist can be made by phone, although a specific number is not provided.
