27 May in Lviv, thunderstorms, strong winds and possible hail are forecast in the morning and during the day. This was reported by the Lviv Regional Hydrometeorological Centre.
According to meteorologists, thunderstorms are expected across the city, with wind gusts of 17–22 m/s, as well as possible hail. Lviv City Council is urging residents to take the weather forecast into account and exercise caution.
During a thunderstorm at home, it is recommended to close windows and doors and unplug all electrical appliances, including your phone, as they can attract lightning.
Outdoors, people are advised not to shelter under trees because of the risk of lightning strikes and falling branches, to avoid metal fences, billboards and power line poles, and not to open umbrellas with metal components, as they attract electrical discharges.
In the event of unforeseen situations, residents are asked to contact the city hotline on 15–80.
