At the Lviv Regional Clinical Perinatal Centre, doctors managed to maintain the pregnancy of a 25-year-old woman for almost another 10 weeks after her waters broke prematurely.
The patient was admitted at 25 weeks pregnant. Thanks to the treatment provided and the constant supervision of the medical team, the pregnancy was prolonged until 35 weeks.
At that gestational age, she gave birth to a baby girl weighing 2,440 grams. After delivery, the newborn received the necessary medical care and remained under the supervision of specialists.
Mother and baby were later discharged home. The medical facility notes that it has all the conditions required to provide specialised care for mothers and newborns, including in complex cases.
