In order to get on the waiting list for transplantation, you need to be examined by doctors at the Transplantology Center of the First Medical Association of Lviv.
These are a nephrologist, transplantologist, cardiologist, and anesthesiologist.
It is also necessary to undergo general laboratory and instrumental examinations, and if necessary, doctors may prescribe additional examinations. At the consultation, the patient will receive all the necessary information about the operation and the algorithm of all further actions.
Then, based on clinical data, doctors determine the patient’s condition and decide whether a transplant is necessary. Then the center’s transplant coordinator collects all the data and enters it into the USTIS, the unified state transplant information system, where an electronic queue for organ transplantation is automatically formed.
Each transplant center has its own waiting list, which is included in the general waiting list in the USTIS. A patient from any corner of Ukraine can be included in this list.
