A project for people who lost their sight in adulthood is ongoing in Lviv.
The public organization ‘Rehabilitation Fund for the Blind’ is implementing a project that helps people who lost their sight due to war or other circumstances. The project provides psychological support and self-care skills.
*’The ultimate goal of the project is not only to give newly blinded adults a push towards life and restore lost functions but also to improve their relationships at home,’* the organizers state.
Until the end of March 2026, orientation and life skills sessions are held with the support of the Finnish fund Abilis Foundation. Most trainers have visual disabilities or are parents of children with disabilities.
