Autumn acaricidal treatment of parks continues in Lviv: residents asked to refrain from walks

In Lviv, autumn acaricidal treatment of parks, forest parks and other green areas of the Lviv city territorial community is under way. For the duration of the works, residents and visitors are asked to refrain from walking in these areas and not to walk their pets there.

According to the published schedule, on 17 September treatment is being carried out in the following locations: the local botanical nature monument “Pohulianka Forest Park”, the local garden and park art monument “Lychakivskyi”, the “Maiorivka” green area, Weinberg Park in Vynnyky, the Ivan Franko Garden and Park Art Monument, “Bondarivka” Park and “Archangel Michael” Park on Stryiska Street.

On 18 September, treatment is planned for “Piskovi Ozera” Park, “Horikhovyi Hai” Park, “Koloniia” Park, the park on Roksoliany Street, the Ivan Vyhovskyi Park, “Levyandivske Lake” Park, “Sknylivskyi” Park, “Levandivskyi” Park, “Bilohorshcha” Forest Park, the local forest reserve “Rudno Forest Park”, as well as a land plot in the area of M. Hrushevskyi, I. Ohiienka, Ozerna and A. Sheptytskyi streets in the settlement of Rudne.

The acaricidal treatment is being carried out to curb the reproduction of ticks in parks, forest parks and other green areas of the community. Priority is given to areas near children’s playgrounds, footpaths, recreation zones and other places where people usually spend time.

Earlier, on 7 September, autumn acaricidal treatment had already been carried out in the Znesinnia Regional Landscape Park, “Vysokyi Zamok” Park, “Snopkivskyi” Park, “Zalizna Voda” Park, Stryiskyi Park and the Lviv Central Park of Culture and Recreation named after B. Khmelnytskyi. On 9 September, works were carried out in “Zamarstynivskyi” Park, the square on M. Kryvonosa Street, “Na Valakh” Park, the “700th Anniversary of Lviv” Park, “Pid Holoskom” Park, “Kortumova Hora” Park, St John Paul II Park, the B. Khmelnytskyi Park in Briukhovychi, as well as in the park bounded by V. Lypynskoho Street and Lincoln Street.
