In Lviv, at the Habilitation Centre “NAV” (Lviv Habilitation Center), a free 21-day support programme for veterans and their family members is being launched. Participants are provided with accommodation and meals, as well as a range of rehabilitation and psychological services.
The programme includes group and one-to-one sessions with a psychologist, sessions with a physical therapist and an occupational therapist, and support in restoring mobility and everyday living skills. Massage services and training with an adaptive CrossFit coach are also available.
A separate component of the programme consists of workshops, excursions and team sports activities designed to help veterans socialise and strengthen mutual support within the group.
Those eligible to take part in the programme include, in particular, combatants and people with disabilities resulting from the war. A veteran may complete the course individually or together with a close family member. The final decision on admission is taken at the centre, based on the person’s state of health and the established selection criteria.
Sessions are held in Lviv at the following address: 86V Stryyska Street, Park Tower residential complex. The centre’s premises are fully adapted to the needs of people who use a wheelchair, a rollator, crutches or other assistive devices.
