On Monday, September 26, as part of the development of the Ukrainian prosthetics project in Ukraine, the NEZLAMNI center of the First Medical Association of Lviv is opening a mobile prosthetics workshop.
The workshop consists of a container with equipment where prostheses will be made, as well as a hospital room where patients will be fitted and cast negatives. All the necessary equipment, components for prostheses and materials from one of the best manufacturers in the world – the German company “Ottobock” – were provided by the Maltese Aid Service with the support of the Government of Germany and the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.
Together with the workshop, the NEZLAMNI center receives 200 prostheses. The opening of the mobile prosthesis workshop will take place with the participation of the Center’s team of prosthetists and the team of prosthetists from the USA, who currently work at the facility, as well as the patients themselves.
