On June 23-24, two significant events will take place in Lviv: the opening of a Center for those who have experienced captivity and torture, and the international forum ‘Unbroken Justice.’
**Philippe Sands**, author of the bestseller ‘East West Street,’ and neurosurgeon Henry Marsh are among the participants of the event. The forum will begin with a public conversation on the topic of ‘Justice and Time.’ _’The history of the formation of the concepts of “genocide” and “crimes against humanity” leads us to Lviv,’_ noted Philippe Sands.
On the second day of the forum, the **Saint Leo the Great Center for Mental Health** will be opened. _’Our task is not just to welcome them as heroes, but to create conditions where they can restore themselves,’_ said Mayor Andriy Sadovyi.
Participants will discuss psychological assistance to torture victims, responsibility for crimes against humanity and genocide. _’Today, moral trauma should become the central focus of understanding and finding ways to heal it,’_ emphasized Oleh Bereziuk, head of the mental health direction at the UNBROKEN Center.
