A new building of the National Rehabilitation Centre UNBROKEN Ukraine has begun operating on Pekarska Street in Lviv. The facility has already received its first patients, who are undergoing recovery here after severe injuries sustained as a result of the war.
The new building is designed to accommodate 55 patients. It houses wards for long-term stays, physical therapy and occupational therapy rooms, psychological support offices, as well as spaces for multidisciplinary specialist teams to work.
The same premises will also host one of the teaching buildings of the UNBROKEN University Medical School. Future doctors, physical therapists and other specialists will be able to study directly next to the clinic and gain hands-on experience in the field of rehabilitation.
The implementation of the project was funded by the people of Taiwan. Special recognition was given to the contribution of builders, engineers, medical staff and all the teams involved, who prepared the building to receive its first patients within a tight timeframe.
