The mayor’s office is developing a mechanism that will allow military personnel undergoing rehabilitation in Lviv to receive free services from professional masseurs.
“Since 2024, Lviv has been running a program under which defenders have the right to visit fitness clubs for free. Now we are developing another initiative – massage services for better rehabilitation. We are currently working out all the details with the specialists of the First Medical Unit of Lviv. We want our soldiers undergoing rehabilitation in our city to be able to receive high-quality massage from the best specialists, and for this service to be free of charge for them, that is, for us to compensate for it,” explained Anton Nikulin, head of the Lviv Sports and Youth Policy Department.
It should be noted that this is to become part of the program to support military personnel participating in combat operations and family members of fallen defenders of Ukraine: a draft resolution to amend this program is being submitted to the next plenary meeting of the session. If the resolution is adopted, the service will be available to the military in June.
