
In the Lviv municipal territorial community, from Monday, 7 September, the autumn acaricidal treatment of parks, forest parks, squares and other green areas will begin. Residents and visitors to the city are asked to refrain from walking in these places and not to walk their pets there while the work is being carried out.
The treatment is being carried out to curb the spread of ticks. Specialists will work primarily near children’s playgrounds, footpaths, recreation areas and other popular places where people gather.
On 7 September, acaricidal treatment is planned at the following locations in Lviv:
- regional landscape park “Znesinnia”;
- “Vysokyi Zamok” park;
- “Snopkivskyi” park;
- “Zalizna Voda” park;
- Stryiskyi park;
- Lviv Central Park of Culture and Recreation named after B. Khmelnytskyi.
On 9 September, work is scheduled to take place in:
- “Zamarstynivskyi” park;
- the square on M. Kryvonosa Street;
- “Na Valakh” park;
- “700th Anniversary of Lviv” park;
- park named after I. Franko;
- “Pid Holoskom” park;
- “Kortumova Hora” park;
- Saint John Paul II Park;
- park named after B. Khmelnytskyi in Bryukhovychi;
- the park bounded by V. Lypynskoho Street and Lincoln Street.
The dates for treating other green areas will be announced separately. These include, in particular, Archangel Michael Park, “Piskovi Ozera”, “Horikhovyi Hai”, “Bondarivka”, “Koloniia”, the park on Roksoliany Street, the park named after I. Vyhovskyi, “Ozero Levandivske”, “Sknylivskyi”, “Levandivskyi”, the “Bilohorshcha”, “Rudno” and “Pohulianka” forest parks, Lychakivskyi Park, the “Maiorivka” green area, Weinberg Park in Vynnyky, as well as the green area in the settlement of Rudne in the area of M. Hrushevskoho, I. Ohiienka, Ozerna and A. Sheptytskoho streets.
Residents are urged to take the work schedule into account and temporarily avoid visiting the specified areas, as well as not to walk their pets there. In the event of adverse weather conditions, the acaricidal treatment schedule may be adjusted, of which additional notice will be given.
