In Lviv, women are being offered weekend mammograms on a convenient day – Saturday. The examination makes it possible to detect changes in the breasts in good time and prevent complications from developing.
The city health department reminds residents that patients can choose the date and time of the examination themselves. To have a mammogram, you need an electronic referral from your family doctor and to book an appointment in advance by calling the chosen medical facility.
“This examination takes very little time, but it can be extremely important for your health. Do not put off taking care of yourself,” said Marta Matiushko, head of the city health department.
