To improve access to preventive healthcare, women in the Lviv community will have the opportunity to undergo mammography screenings on Saturdays throughout May. This initiative by the Lviv City Health Department aims to make the service more convenient, especially for working women.
To receive the screening, patients must bring an electronic referral from their family doctor and register in advance by phone with the medical facility of their choice.
“We encourage all women to take advantage of this weekend service. Mammography is an effective way to detect early changes in breast tissue,” said Marta Matiushko, head of the city’s health department.
