In Lviv, women living in the community are being encouraged to have a mammogram on a convenient day — Saturday. This test helps to detect changes in the breasts in good time and reduce the risk of serious complications developing. The November schedule of Saturday examinations was reported by the Health Department of Lviv City Council.
The department reminds patients that they can independently choose the date and time at one of the city facilities. To have a mammogram, you need an electronic referral from your family doctor and to book an appointment in advance by calling the chosen diagnostic centre or hospital.
