In Lviv, women living in the community are being urged to take care of their health and have a mammogram on a convenient day — Saturday. This examination helps to detect changes in the breasts in good time and prevent serious complications from developing, the city health department reminds.
Women can choose the date and time themselves at one of the city’s medical facilities. To have a mammogram, you need an electronic referral from your family doctor and to book an appointment in advance by calling the chosen facility.
“This examination takes very little time, but it can be extremely important for your health. Do not put off looking after yourself,” stresses Marta Matiushko, head of the city health department.

The city health department is calling on women in Lviv not to postpone preventive check-ups and to register for an appointment in advance at the medical facility that is most convenient for them.
