In Lviv, the first five million were collected for equipment for children’s rehabilitation

In order for the children to receive the best treatment and rehabilitation in their native country, UAH 35 million is being collected in Lviv for the UNBROKEN KIDS Rehabilitation Center. He will work on the basis of the St. Nicholas Children’s Hospital of the First Medical Association.

As reported in Nezlamna BF, Lviv Bakery Complex LLC was the first to join the collection, donating UAH 1 million for equipment for children’s rehabilitation. The international IT company AVENGA immediately joined in, also donating UAH 1 million. Another 500,000 hryvnias is donated by the “Dudaryk” men’s choir. In general, with the donations of caring people, 5 million hryvnias have already been collected for children’s rehabilitation.

“We need to collect 35 million hryvnias for modern equipment for children who need our help. This is equipment, certain repairs and, of course, prosthetics. Children need to change prostheses every year. We started with rehabilitation for adults, and already have a high level of surgery, prosthetics, and rehabilitation. And children’s rehabilitation is much more difficult – both physical and psychological, because it has its own characteristics. Therefore, I urge everyone to join in order to make a cool children’s rehabilitation together,” says Lviv Mayor Andriy Sadovy.

The UNBROKEN KIDS children’s rehabilitation department will be set up on the basis of St. Nicholas Hospital. This is a unique medical facility of the First Medical Association of Lviv, where children are treated and operated on from birth to adulthood. Over the past year, more than 60,000 children from all over Ukraine have received help here.

Therefore, in order to create the best conditions for rehabilitation in Ukraine, a collection was launched in Lviv for the best equipment in the world for Ukrainian children. You can participate in fundraising on the dobro.ua platform: https://dobro.ua/project/nezlamni/

In the NEZLAMNI Center, children were stabilized and treated after disasters in Brovary, Vinnytsia, Chaplin, Dnipro, Bakhmut, Kramatorsk. And this is only a part of the cities from which children with severe injuries and amputations had to be rescued. Military injuries are among the most difficult to treat, and medical equipment plays a crucial role in providing emergency care and rehabilitation. Due to the lack of necessary medical equipment, doctors are forced to ask for the evacuation of small patients to Western countries, where they, separated from their homes, go through the path of recovery. Therefore, the goal of the NEZLAMNI center is to provide all necessary help in one place – at home, in Ukraine, and to rejoice together at the first steps, first successes and results of rehabilitation.

UNICEF estimates that at least 1,000 Ukrainian children have been injured as a result of the war. The real numbers are significantly higher.
