In the Novoiavorivsk community, the charity run “Nation of the Free”, held in June, has delivered a tangible result for local healthcare. Thanks to participants’ contributions, UAH 650,000 was raised for the rehabilitation ward of Novoiavorivsk hospital.
The funds were used to purchase a modern shockwave therapy device. The equipment is already in use in the ward, helping patients to recover after injuries and illnesses.
The initiative was also supported by the charity foundation MoveUkraine, which provided rehabilitation equipment worth over UAH 4 million. This has enabled the hospital to completely refurbish and equip its physiotherapy and occupational therapy rooms.
Residents of the Novoiavorivsk community, as well as service personnel and veterans recovering from wounds or injuries, can now receive comprehensive rehabilitation care directly in their own community.
The medical facility notes that this is only the first stage in modernising the rehabilitation ward, with two further stages of upgrades planned.
