A patient who has signed a declaration with his family doctor has the right to receive free diagnostic and laboratory examinations. In the First Medical Association of Lviv, they remind us of exactly which examinations we are talking about
In particular, these are the following laboratory studies:
· general analysis of blood and urine;
· glucose and cholesterol level analysis;
· quick pregnancy tests;
· troponin analysis;
HIV test, viral hepatitis B, C, tuberculosis, sexually transmitted infections;
· SARS-Sov-2 test.
Also, each patient can undergo the following instrumental diagnosis:
electrocardiogram;
· peak flowmetry/ spirometry;
· otoscopy;
X-ray
· ophthalmoscopy and measurement of visual acuity.
At the same time, primary care services include screening for mental disorders.
Other free examinations under the direction of a family doctor require the patient to reach a certain age:
· mammography – for women over 40 years old;
· colonoscopy – after 40 years;
· esophagogastroduodenoscopy – after 50 years;
· hysteroscopy – for women after 40 years;
cystoscopy – after 50 years.
To use basic services, the patient must have a referral from a family doctor. Also, the patient has the right to independently choose the medical institution in which he wishes to undergo an examination.
