More than 14 million hryvnias were allocated for their renewal from the budgets of the Drogobytsk TG and the medical institution.
Today, June 13, the Stebnytsk City Hospital opened two completely renovated medical facilities – the reception department and the intensive care unit. Renovation of the medical facility began in early 2023. The funds were allocated both by the Drohobytsk Territorial Community and by the medical institution itself. In particular, more than 9 million hryvnias were allocated to the renovation of the reception department, and almost 5 million to the overhaul of the intensive care unit.
“I am pleasantly surprised by the changes that have taken place in Stebnytsia Hospital. Each of the updated departments provides quality conditions both for the work of employees and for helping patients – these are modern and well-equipped offices and wards. It is also important that some of the premises were renovated with the funds of the Drohobych Territorial Community. This proves that the government takes care of medical institutions even during a full-scale war. Currently, approval of the hospital network is being carried out in Lviv Oblast. Considering the fact that the achievements of the Stebnytska Hospital in this area are impressive, the medical institution definitely claims to be included in this network. Thank you to the local authorities and hospital managers for their work,” said the head of Lviv OVA Maksym Kozytskyi.
Among the renovated rooms in the reception department are a gynecological and otolaryngological examination room, a trauma center, a room for the patient’s preliminary stay, an office for basing emergency medical care, etc. At the same time, the intensive care unit was equipped with state-of-the-art anesthesia equipment, a manipulation room and a number of wards, sanitary facilities, a resident’s room, a nurse’s room, the office of the senior nurse and the head of the department, etc., were set up there.
“In general, 5 departments have already been restored in Stebnytsia Hospital – infectious, surgical, psychoneurological, as well as the reception and intensive care department, which will receive patients from today. Before that, the premises had not been renovated for more than 50 years, but now they have equipped comfortable wards, purchased equipment and medical equipment – ventilators, cardiac monitors, syringe dispensers, and anesthetic breathing apparatus. The reception department was designed in accordance with the requirements of the DBN in a different building, and not in the one where it was located before,” explained Natalya Stetsyk, head doctor of the Stebnytsk City Hospital KNP.
According to her, 110 patients can be in the hospital at the same time. From now on, they will receive medical services much faster, because the renovated departments provide more examination rooms than before.
