In September, 46 babies were born in the maternity ward of KNP “Drohobych City Hospital No. 1”. Among them were 19 boys and 27 girls. Five newborns were from the category of **internally displaced persons**, specifically from the Kyiv, Donetsk, Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk, and Luhansk regions.
“As is the tradition established in the city since the first days of the full-scale invasion, the mothers and their families are congratulated on the happy event by the Mayor of Drohobych, Taras Kuchma, and the Head of the Family and Youth Department of the DMR, Oleksandra Pashko,” the message states. They provide the mothers with support packages for the babies and the first embroidered shirts as a talisman.
Additionally, during visits to the city’s maternity hospital, the community leader checks the quality of the services provided and the changes in the medical facility. The packages contain all necessary items: clothing for the babies, hygiene products, toys, and diapers. These support packages have been assembled since the onset of the invaders’ invasion to support young families.
They are received by both local women and women from the IDP community. For those mothers who are not found in the hospital, vouchers are issued for receiving the packages at the city hall.
