
In September, specialists from the municipal non-profit enterprise of the Lviv Regional Council “Lviv Regional Centre for Emergency Medical Care and Disaster Medicine”, within the framework of the MEDEVAC project, carried out 57 organised medical evacuations abroad.
According to the medical institution, over the month 61 patients and 21 accompanying persons were transported to foreign clinics for further treatment. After completing their treatment, 39 patients and 9 accompanying persons were repatriated to Ukraine.
The Centre for Emergency Medical Care has been carrying out organised medical evacuation of citizens abroad since 2022. The project is implemented with co-financing from the European Commission in cooperation with the WHO Regional Office for Europe, World Health Organization Ukraine and the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.
