Official Opening of the Rehabilitation Department at Sheptytsky
Last week, we informed you about the opening of a new rehabilitation department at the Sheptytsky City Central Hospital. Today, the official opening took place, and tomorrow, April 8th, the department will begin receiving patients.
“I am very pleased that we are finally opening this long-awaited rehabilitation department. I would like to thank the hospital staff, but I especially want to thank Andriy Dilny, the head of the ‘Square Meter’ company, which carried out the renovation work here. Our future goal is for all departments to look like this,” said the mayor Andriy Zalivsky.
Features of the New Department
The rehabilitation department is located on the 4th floor of the City Central Hospital in the former gynecology department and is equipped with 20 beds for the recovery of patients after injuries, surgeries or damages. A team of specialists will work in the department, including doctors of physical and rehabilitation medicine, physical therapists, occupational therapists, a speech therapist, a psychologist, nurses, and assistants.
“I truly congratulate the entire community, as this is not only about a well-done renovation, but also about the level of service that will be provided. It is very important because many of our residents, especially our military service members, need such rehabilitation services,” shared Christina Zamula, the deputy head of the Lviv Regional State Administration.
The Head of the Department of Health of the Lviv Regional State Administration, Natalia Litvinska, gave some recommendations regarding the placement of rehabilitation rooms and the setup of an occupational therapy office, emphasizing the importance of regular staff training.
