In Lviv, neurosurgeons at the Children’s Medical Centre successfully performed surgery on an 18-year-old cadet, Mykyta from Odesa, who was diagnosed with a rare form of Spina Bifida — anterior meningo-radiculocele. This condition threatened his studies and his dream of becoming a UAV operator. The surgery was led by Mykhailo Lovha from the Paediatric Neurosurgery Clinic.
Mykhailo Lovha noted that in his practice, this is only the third instance of such a condition. The operation was successful, and Mykyta is now undergoing rehabilitation with high chances of complete recovery.
