Over the past week, 1,963 tests for COVID-19 were conducted in the region, of which 86 were positive.
In addition, 2 deaths were registered. There are 108 patients in the hospital. Since the beginning of the pandemic, 325,037 cases have been registered in Lviv region, of which 6,851 were fatal.
“In the past, we faced a new infection with weak immunity. Now, thanks to vaccines, we have a radically different picture. The production of vaccines against COVID would have ended the pandemic, however, reluctance or refusal to vaccinate despite the availability of vaccines has slowed this process. The COVID-19 pandemic is still wreaking havoc, so we encourage you to get vaccinated. Vaccines do not save life, it is saved by vaccinations,” Orest Chemerys, director of the health care department of Lviv OVA, emphasized.
It should be noted that in Lviv Oblast, 1,090,445 people were vaccinated against coronavirus with one dose, 1,031,205 people received the second dose, 185,744 people received the first booster, and 11,620 residents of the region received the second booster.
