6-year-old Alisa, who received burns as a result of the plane crash in Brovary, was evacuated from Lviv to Austria

A girl who received burns in a kindergarten in Brovary was evacuated from Lviv to Austria. Alisa will be treated in Vienna. In total, six Ukrainians have already been evacuated to Austria: three adults and three children. Doctors of the First Medical Association of Lviv prepared them for transportation abroad.

6-year-old Alisa was with her mother in kindergarten at the time of the tragedy. Both were brought to Lviv in serious condition, with burns on the face, upper and lower limbs. The woman was taken to the St. Panteleimon Hospital, the girl and her father were taken to the St. Nicholas Children’s Hospital.

Among the children who were transported from Lviv, in addition to Alisa, there was also a 5-year-old girl with burns of the respiratory tract, and 7-year-old Sasha, who received severe burns on her face and head.

This is not the first time that the team of the hospital’s anesthesiology and intensive care unit has received the most difficult patients who were seriously injured during the war. This time, their primary task was to stabilize the condition of the children before the difficult journey to Europe. In the acute setting and post-burn shock, there is always the risk that patients may deteriorate during transport. Pediatric anesthesiologists Nataliya Telishevska and Andriy Furtak provided the necessary anesthesia, infusions, antibiotic therapy, and burn center burn specialist Lesia Strelka provided regular dressings and treatment of burns.

A few days later, the girls were transported abroad for further treatment. Alisa and her father are the last to go, her mother is already in Austria. Vyacheslav’s father believes that everything will be fine and dreams that their family will be together again.h
