On 28 May, defender Mykola Sytnyk will return to his home community on his shield. In Sheptytskyi, the mourning cortege is expected to arrive at around 13:00, the Sheptytskyi City Council reported.
Immediately after the fallen soldier is received, a Requiem Service and funeral rite will begin in the Church of St Josaphat.
The burial of Mykola Sytnyk will take place on the Alley of Heroes at the Bendiuzh Cemetery.
The community is calling on residents to give the defender a dignified farewell on his final journey and to honour his memory.
