The Drohobych community received saddening news: the death of Andriy Davydov, who had been missing since October 2024, has been confirmed. This was reported by the Drohobych City Council.
Andriy was born on 8 October 1985 and lived in Drohobych with his family. He worked at LLC ‘Thermoplast Plus’. During the full-scale war, he joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, serving as a rifleman in a mechanised battalion of military unit A5006. Contact with him was lost on 5 October 2024 in the Pokrovske direction area.
In May 2025, Andriy’s body was returned to Ukraine, and DNA tests confirmed his death. The family, wife, and two sons, along with the city council, express their condolences for the fallen hero. The time and place for bidding farewell to the deceased Hero will be announced additionally.
