Roman Sheremeta from Stryi Region Awarded Posthumously

Roman Sheremeta from the village of Velyka Horozhanna, located in the Mykolaiv community, has been posthumously awarded the Order ‘For Courage’ III Class according to the Decree of the President of Ukraine.

Roman was a participant in the ATO/OOS and, with the onset of the full-scale invasion, took up the defence of Ukraine, serving as a driver in the mortar platoon of military unit A0998. Tragically, he was killed on 15 June 2024 during a combat mission in the Chasiv Yar area in the Donetsk region.

He was also posthumously awarded the Armed Forces of Ukraine insignia and the ‘Hero’s Cross’ order. Eternal memory and honour to the Hero!
