Sokal Region Mourns Defender Andrii Pryimak Who Died in Donetsk Region

The Sokal community is in mourning. Defender of Ukraine Andrii Volodymyrovych Pryimak, born on November 26, 1983, a resident of the city of Sokal, has joined the Heavenly Legion.

Andrii Pryimak studied at Sokal Secondary School No. 2. He later continued his education at the Chervonohrad Mining Technical School and then graduated from Ternopil Technical University, where he received a master’s degree in Electrical Engineering.

After completing his studies, he performed compulsory military service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the city of Kamianka-Buzka. In civilian life, he worked as an engineer in the private sector, including abroad in Poland.

After the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Andrii returned to Ukraine to defend his homeland. From November 18, 2024, he served in the military and carried out combat missions as part of the 5th Separate Heavy Mechanized Brigade, military unit A-4594.

The soldier served as commander of an anti-aircraft missile squad in the fire support company. His combat path led through one of the most difficult areas of the front — the Pokrovsk direction.

Andrii Pryimak is remembered as a responsible commander, a brave warrior, and a reliable comrade-in-arms. He fulfilled his military duty with honor and dignity and proudly carried the title of a Ukrainian defender.

Andrii Pryimak fought his final battle on March 15, 2025, near the settlement of Andriivka, Volnovakha district, Donetsk region. For more than a year, he was considered missing in action. Recently, the body of the fallen defender was identified through DNA examination.

Sincere condolences are extended to his mother Olha, wife Halyna, daughter Khrystyna, son Tymofii, sisters Olena and Nadiia with their families, and uncle Yurii with his family.

The time of the arrival of Andrii Pryimak’s body and the funeral ceremony will be announced additionally.
