In Sokal, the death has been confirmed of serviceman Viacheslav Viacheslavovych Nehreshnyi, born in 1979, who for almost two years was considered missing. This was reported by Sokal City Council.
According to the City Council, Viacheslav Nehreshnyi was born and lived in the town of Sokal. He studied at Sokal School No. 5, worked at MKP “Sokalvodokanal”, and later at a brick factory.
On 3 August 2023 he was mobilised to military unit A4123, where he served as deputy commander of a combat vehicle. On 5 October 2024, the serviceman was killed in action while carrying out a combat mission near the settlement of Terny in the Kramatorsk district of Donetsk region. Only now has it been possible to identify his body.
He is survived by his mother, his son Oleh, his sisters Mariia, Nataliia and Bohdana, and his brother Roman. Sokal City Council has extended its sincere condolences to his family and friends on the loss of their defender.
It is reported that on 27 August at 13:30, a gathering to receive the body of Viacheslav Nehreshnyi will take place by the Church of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul in Sokal. The funeral service will be held at the Church of Christians of Evangelical Faith “Holy Trinity” at the address: Sokal, Heroiv UPA Street, 19-V.
