
In the village of Myrtyuky, a memorial plaque in honour of the fallen defender of Ukraine and fellow villager Roman Bublyk was unveiled and consecrated on the façade of the People’s House. The commemorative sign was installed to immortalise his contribution to bringing Ukraine’s victory closer.
The unveiling of the memorial plaque was attended by the Mayor, Oleh Kanivets. He addressed the family of the fallen soldier with words of support and called on everyone to cherish the memory of the fallen defenders.
Roman Bublyk (23.12.1973 – 23.12.2024) served as a chief sergeant, mechanic-driver of the 3rd mechanised squad of the 1st mechanised company. In 2022, he joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
It is known that Roman Bublyk died on his birthday – 23 December 2024, in the combat zone in the Kursk region on the territory of the Russian Federation.
