On 22 August, fallen defender Vasyl Fil will return to his home community “on the shield”. The mourning cortege with the soldier’s body is expected to arrive in Sheptytskyi at around 12:00.
After the reception in the Church of St George, a memorial service and funeral rite will be held. The burial of Vasyl Fil is planned for the Heroes’ Alley of the Bendyuzke Cemetery.
Residents of the community are urged to join the farewell and to honourably accompany the defender on his final journey.
