On Tuesday, 14 July, defender Vitalii Melnyk will return to his home community “on the shield”. The mourning cortege is expected to arrive in Sheptytskyi at around 13:00.
After the cortege arrives, a Requiem Service and funeral rite will begin in the Church of St Volodymyr. Vitalii Melnyk will be laid to rest on the Avenue of Heroes at the Bendiuzke Cemetery.
Residents of the community are urged to pay their respects to the fallen defender on his final journey and honour his memory.
